Your First Visit to Magnolia Springs Dentistry: What to Expect

Starting with a new dentist shouldn't feel stressful. Here's exactly what happens at your first visit to Magnolia Springs Dentistry, so you know what to expect before you walk in.

Before you arrive

Call us at [(407) 767-0633] (tel:+14077670633) to schedule. If you have dental insurance, we'll check your coverage ahead of time so there are no surprises.

It helps to bring:

  • A photo ID

  • Your dental insurance card, if you have one

  • A list of your current medications and any health conditions

During your visit

Your first visit takes place in a private treatment room and includes:

  1. A review of your health history

  2. A full set of x-rays

  3. A comprehensive exam with Dr. John Jaicks

  4. An oral health screening

  5. A check of your gum health

What about a cleaning?

If your gums are healthy and our schedule allows, we'll try to complete your cleaning the same day. If we see signs of gum disease, a different type of cleaning may be needed, and we'll explain why before we begin.

Your treatment plan

If we find anything that needs attention, Dr. Jaicks will explain what he sees, what your options are, and what's most important to take care of first. We discuss costs before any treatment begins. There's no pressure to decide on the spot.

Feeling nervous?

You're not alone. Let us know, and we'll explain each step before we do it. You can ask for a break at any time.

Bringing the family

We see both adults and children, so the whole family can come to one office.

Se habla español

Members of our team speak Spanish fluently and are happy to help.

New patient specials

We offer specials for new patients. Ask us for current details.
